Chocolate and Strawberry NO BAKE Tart πŸ˜

I’m beginning to think my blog is going to include my love of food as well as beauty πŸ™ˆ but this is just too good to keep to myself, hence why there’s a piece missing….already!

I actually made a gluten free version as my boyfriend is ceoliac and I’m forever trying to create sweet treats for him! But you can change the base of the tart to whatever you fancy.

Recipe:

  • 330g of digestives, Oreos, GF digestives or whatever you want!
  • 110g melted butter
  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 200ml double cream
  • Strawberries (or any fruit or nuts you want, be imaginative!)
  • Flan dish or whatever you want to serve it in.

So, first of all you need to need to make the biscuit base. Crush the biscuits to a fine crumb (food processor or old fashioned rolling pin method!) and pour in the melted butter and give a good stir until all combined.

Pour mixture into flan dish and push firmly down and up the sides to create  a crust. Put in the freezer to firm up whilst making the filling.

Pour cream into a pan and put on a low heat to slowly warm. Do not let this boil!!! Whilst warming, break all the chocolate into individual pieces ready for the cream. When the cream is almost at simmering point, turn off the heat and pour in the chocolate an leave it for a minute at least to start melting, don’t stir it!

Cut the strawberries in half and remove the greenery. Now stir the chocolate mixture until silky smooth and until you can see it thicken up. Take out the base and pour in the chocolate. Dot the strawberries in top and put in the fridge for atleast 2 hours to set.

Tip when cutting the tart, dip the knife in hot water for a minute so it cute through easily.

This is so super yummy and now a firm fav I think with my boyfriend and his dad! Enjoy your baking dolls! 🌸
